The Friends of St. Mary's (FSM) is a registered charity which raises funds to enrich the experiences of children at St. Mary's Catholic School. This has been through providing equipment and facilities, as well as exciting experiences like school trips to the pantomime.

Being a 'Friends of...' rather than a PTA, means that support and engagement for this cause can come from a wider network than parents alone; Grandparents, Godparents, friends, and even neighbours can help the FSM too. As a registered charity, the FSM must have Trustees in place, and there are many other roles too that can help successful fundraising including helping at events, organising your own fundraisers, or being involved with the secondhand uniform shop.
